Walter Schuster

Walter began his career in the insurance sector as a sales representative immediately after passing his school leaving examination. Since then he has always been fascinated by the world of sales and financial services. At the tender age of 25 he quickly became a sales manager in an insurance company. At the age of 30 he held CEO positions and managed sales departments in various companies, including the Metro Group, and in the banking sector, where he managed a subsidiary of a savings bank. In 1999 he assumed responsibility, as CEO, for the development of Standard Life’s activities in Austria from the very beginning; by 2003 he had already positioned it as the leading provider of life insurance. He also held the position of Sales Director in Germany.

Walter has been an independent entrepreneur since 2009, managing his own businesses and advising companies, particularly in the areas of brand development, sales growth, company management, product design, sales marketing, location selection, market entry and related topics. With over 40 years of experience he specialises in financial products, sales, marketing, corporate management and employee motivation.
